The entrepreneur story/ The person behind building the company:

Mr. Sudharsan Ramajeyam had done his M.Sc. from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore in the year 2012. After passed out, he started his career as a salesperson who had deep passion for electronics. He kept on listening to the market carefully and upgraded his knowledge in each way possible. He visited a lot of places, met customers, read magazines, and attended many electronics-based expos which gave him a good experience in the electronics Industry. Finally, he started his company in 2016 and since then he never had to look back. THINKSEMI has offices in Singapore/Hong Kong and India.

Client Base:

Our main focus is on the Automotive/Medical/IOT/Industrial Automation and Energy meter Segment.

Entrepreneur Insights:- How has the industry changed over the years?

The industry has a different picture if we consider It era-wise- Pre-COVID and Post-COVID.

Before COVID, industry growth ranges were in full swing, and after COVID it’s almost going to a Flat Graph. In the Pandemic situation, we focused on Medical based projects and also supported much COVID-based protection KIT which helped us with our growth rate.

Biggest challenges

When we started the Company we had little knowledge about the background of buyers, so we had to face a lot of Payment issues where we made huge losses. As a preventive step, we created a team for the groundwork and collected proper information from the team before we select a potential customer and this way we succeeded. Since then, we have had a department-wise team of efficient employees who helps us to complete all big project successfully.“- says Sudharsan Ramajeyam

Our focus has been always on Quality and not Quantity. For us, customer has been an asset. We focused on delivering quality service, and therefore customer satisfaction did all the marketing for us.

Sudharsan Ramajeyam says, Obviously, My team and their Quality output and Service support.” He says the company is the out of the team that he has built. It’s the department-wise team that works for him and brings all the success.

Entrepreneur Insights:- What do you see as the most difficult task in being in your Industry ?

After COVID Semiconductor industries are fully affected due to the Electronic Components Shortage and as a manufacturer, various range of our products has been stopped due to this unavoidable issue. The Man Power issues and Payment rotation have also been added to it. But efforts, strategies, well-payout process is helping us to overcome this issue.

Entrepreneur Insights:- What are the game-changing decisions you took as a leader for your company?

 We have never focused on one single source. We keep on investing in various projects that helped us to fetch more revenue. This helped us to avoid and fund crunch. My employees are counting on me, so it’s my responsibility to bring a good source of revenue to the company so that there is enough cash flow always.

Entrepreneur Insights:- How do you encourage your team to grow and bring innovative ideas to the table?

As a Leader, I keep guiding my team to focus on their current work as well as keep motivating them to upgrade their knowledge and bring innovative ideas and processes to the table. For me, quality is very important so my team keeps on brainstorming how we can give better quality to our esteemed customers.

We aim to become the Number 1 company in India in our field as well as support a low-cost solution to all the customers with world-class quality products. Also, we are planning to start a Franchise model in the entire south of India in the next 5 years to move ahead.

You can succeed when you come out of your comfort zone.

Sudharsan Ramajeyam says, “I started my career as an employee with a low profile and the company also seems to be very small around 2-3 people were working including myself. But this was the learning phase for me. So, if you decide to do something big first you have to start with small. Initially to learn you need to join a small organization that is related to the business or product you have in your mind and don’t bother about the salary and the comfort zone. Just give your 100% effort and listen to your clients’ problems and give the right solution and upgrade your knowledge which is related to your growth and focus on what you need and then start your own dream company and put full efforts to achieve your goal.
