The transformational journey of Kotii from being a lower-middle-class farmer’s son into a techie-turned-entrepreneur

Kotii belonged to a lower-middle-class family, where farming was the only earning source. After completing his secondary education his deep interest in computer programming made him pursue Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA). With high aspirations and the urge to lead a better life made him come to Hyderabad at the age of 14, where he started to work as a data entry operator. Later he got hired as a computer faculty of C language at an institute in Hyderabad. Soon after one month of coaching, ZITT Company offered him a job. His initial target to get a job in the computer application domain and earn handsome money to support his family was fulfilled. But what next ? Kotii says he always kept hearing from his mom that he will grow to be a great man one day! So, being great cannot end here.

The Journey from Zitt, Hyderabad to Microsoft, United States

You cannot hide a gem; it will shine and the whole world will know about it soon. The same happened with Kotii. He excelled and mastered coding soon. And his ability became the talk of the town and soon someone from Microsoft got to know about his talents and approached him. Kotii got a call from Microsoft for an interview and cleared all twelve rounds flawlessly. Kotii became the youngest JAVA Certified Professional in India. He got selected as the Chief App Architect in Microsoft but due to the set protocol of hiring a graduate, he had to face initial hurdles of rejection. Kotii used to study several biopics of successful people as those inspired him highly. He already had read about Bill Gates and asked one signature question to the hirers of Microsoft that opened the doors for his future. Kotii asked if a successful company founded by a college dropout is not allowing a talented guy? And soon after four days he was hired by Microsoft and created a record of being the first hire by Microsoft who was not a degree holder. Later Kotii completed his graduation and a Doctorate from the University of Washington.

Kotii worked as Project head by the Application Architect at Microsoft. He spent a long 10 years working in different departments of Microsoft and gained deep knowledge in various applications, automation, programs, etc.

The Journey from Rs. 700 to 750+ crore

Kotii, the name means a kind of root. And the urge to stay connected to the roots brought Kotii back to India.

He left his cushioned job and decided to take the challenging path of entrepreneurship. He has always heard about Indian youth suffering from the issue of unemployment and thus made up his mind to help the Indian government in eradicating this issue. Kotii group owns 70 percent of each company, of which 33% is pledged to underprivileged kids, widows, and seniors. Under philanthropic activities, Kotii group has 3 organizations named Blood. Live, Koti Foundation, and Seva Foundation.

Kotii Reddy has also adopted two Government schools in Andhra Pradesh, Government Zilla Parishad High School in Nandivada and Mandal Parishad School, Jonapadu. He ensured the quality of education is up to the mark. Both schools achieved a 100% Pass Rate in the SSC Results across 700 students.
