Unacademy chief executive Gaurav Munjal told employees in an internal note on Monday that the edtech firm’s founder and top management would take a pay cut and the company would wind up its global test preparation business. These steps are aimed at reducing costs significantly and impacting profitability. This is the second note from Munjal for his team in recent months. In May, he said a funding winter was here and that the company should change its ways.
