Enuncia Global is a New Delhi-based media services company that is primarily involved in providing services such as translation, transcription, subtitling, scripting and content writing, voiceover/ dubbing, etc. Enuncia Global was founded by Manoharan Nair and Moumita Gupta, who worked hard in laying the strongest possible foundation for Enuncia Global. Presently it is headed by Manoharan.

THE STORY BEHIND ENUNCIA GLOBAL

Job life has never been easy for Manoharan Nair. The struggle path has given birth to this struggling entrepreneur. The roadmap to success involves lots of tried and tested ways which have evolved after several failures. Since the 12th standard, he has started his journey with a call centre job. Since then, he has worked for several companies but not a single one gave him that satisfaction to settle down. The turning point came when he was denied leave to attend a family emergency where his brother met a severe injury and could not survive. That was the day when he decided to build his start-up where he can create an ideal working environment for all employees. Manoharan believes employment is necessary but family is always the priority. He says, with time many corporate companies are getting inhuman in the rat race of earning profits. But there are companies like Tata for whom the employee comes first. And as per Manoharan balancing work and family is the real essence to be successful. And entrepreneurship gives him the freedom to create such a work environment for himself and his employees.

What have been the biggest challenges you’ve had to overcome?

My entrepreneurship journey has been a challenge throughout. Starting from scratch after leaving a well-settled job was not easy. After leaving my job in 2014 first 2 years were the freelancing phase. It was 2018 when the firm got officially established and since then we never looked back. The pandemic situation also taught us the harsh reality and the way to survive such a situation. There are still a lot of things to learn. Like any child that undergoes initial teething problems, this child too had to go through the same. Some bad decisions led to crucial financial losses for the company. However, learning from those mistakes, we bounced back and are going strong to achieve new heights.

Which one thing do you wish you’d done differently/ what style did you adopt ?

Ours is a B2B company, bootstrapped and that makes every penny important. I would love to go back and rectify the hiring mistakes that I shouldn’t have done.

What does revolution mean to you?

Revolution to me is an idea of change for the better.

How has the industry changed over the years ?

A lot and with the advancement towards AI in translation, we can certainly expect more significant changes to come shortly.

Tell us about the client base: As many industries (if not all) require translation services, our clients are spread across multiple industries like legal, agricultural, IT, Automobile, medical, market research, movie production houses, and so on.

When it comes to the company, what are you most proud of ?

I am most proud of my team both at the start and the current team without whom achieving this feat is unthinkable.

What do you see as the most difficult task in being in your Industry?

The most difficult task is coping up with the technical development in the industry because of which new tools are being developed every day that are designed to make our work simpler and at the same time reduce the cost. Implementing such changes is difficult at times and more so implementing the same before your competition is always challenging.

What do you do when you are not at work ?

Surfing the internet, watching YouTube videos, reading and traveling, or sometimes just relaxing and doing nothing are my best pass times.

What are the most important decisions you make as a leader of your organization ?

I consider any decision that I make from everyday small decisions to the larger ones that imply company vides change to be important because the small decisions we make that easily go neglected are usually a series of decisions resulting in a larger change.

How do you encourage creative thinking within your organization?

Rewards are a motivation for all. Believing in this phrase, we have some monetary rewards and other forms of incentives linked to any contribution including creative thinking.

What are some of your future endeavors ?

To continue on the path to achieve the immediate goals and move along our long-term plans of expansion both in terms of the number of associates/ employees and location while continuing to deliver excellent service to our clients.

What is the best advice you can give to our readers ?

One should not be afraid of making mistakes because that has been proven to be our best teacher more than often in the past. Learning from the mistakes we make and ensuring that we do not make the same mistakes again while always being prepared for the inevitable new ones.
