We are a BPO company that provides all the administrative and backend services to companies in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and more. We started from a small data center with a few employees and were fortunate enough to get some early clients. Since then, we haven’t looked back. Our family also played a crucial role in what has strengthened us to come this far. Our family pushed us to pursue our passion and supported us when we were experiencing difficulties managing the household.”

Entrepreneur Insights: What have been the biggest challenges you’ve had to overcome?

Mr. M. Murthy Rao and Mr. M. Suresh: There have been many considerable challenges to overcome as we continue to grow, but we would have to say that the most difficult was when we first started. It is always hard to predict what a new business will be like in 5 or 10 years, so we had to make sure that we were set up with the right strategy for success.

Entrepreneur Insights: Which one do you wish you’d done differently/ what style did you adopt?

Mr. M. Murthy Rao and Mr. M. Suresh: If there is one thing we wish we’d done better as a business, it was to have a solid strategy in place for growing the business. We should have taken more time to cultivate relationships with customers to continue to refer us to work. Quitting was not an option for us because we loved what we were doing too much, but we would have liked to have had a more concrete plan in place so that if it did come time to make a change, we would have been ready – and our customers would be too.

Mr. M. Murthy Rao: We believe that for us to betruly revolutionary, we must take risks. We must innovate. It is only by maintaining a strong sense of innovation that we can bring about change and improve the lives of our customers. We are constantly searching for ways to improve every aspect of our business, from internal processes to new technologies to better customer service.

Mr. M. Murthy Rao: The industry has changed quite a lot since its beginning in the 1990s. Back then, most BPOs were single-nationality services that catered to the domestic market. Now, many Indian BPOs are global players that cater to companies from all over the world. The types of services they offer have also increased, with some firms providing just IT support and others going into management consulting or even data processing.

Mr. M. Suresh: Rainbow Softech has grown, thanks to the quality of our services rapidly. We started a few years ago, but now with the changing times and growing market, we have expanded and offer our services across the globe in almost every major country. Our clients come from countries such as the United States, UK, Australia & Canada, among others. Our client base includes 1000s of happy customers that are willing to vouch for our work.

Mr. M. Suresh: Rainbow Softech is proud to provide outsourced services and solutions that increase our clients’ success. Mr. M. Murthy Rao: The most challenging task for people in the BPO industry is to handle multiple clients who have various needs and expectations while working under very tight deadlines. It causes a lot of stress and strain on individuals. Also, overworked employees may get frustrated easily when encountering errors while doing their tasks in a complex environment like ours.

Mr. M. Murthy Rao: This is a challenging question to answer. I love to do many things in my spare time. It could be a Netflix marathon, or it might be exploring the city I live in. But when I’m not at work, all my downtime is spent on thinking about work and ways to make your company better.

I found that three things make me happy: being creative, efficient, and feeling like others appreciate my creativity.

As a leader, Mr. M. Murthy Rao: One of the most important decisions that I must take is determining how to hire best and develop talent. To find the right people to hire and reward them for success, you also need to manage the expectations that both you and your employees have for performance. While there are many factors to consider, such as cost structure, future growth and development, and the type of marketplace and organization operating within, there are some key challenges.

Entrepreneur Insights: How Do You Encourage Creative Thinking Within Your Organization?

Mr. M. Suresh: The solution to creative thinking is not a single answer. Creative thinking is a mindset and requires tools and strategies. A few simple things within our organization have helped us come a long way in encouraging creative thinking from our team members, such as carefully planning for lunchtime meetings, even if they seem like a waste of time at first. Creating an environment that allows room for differing opinions will go a long way in motivating others to share their ideas with you as well. And remember to reward people for doing so!
