Vaishnav was addressing the startup conference digital india week in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

“I would request all the companies working in the fintech, consumer space to look into this and make efforts to take it to the world. Can we expand ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce) to make it the next UPI? Take it seriously and see how it can be a great platform. We are confident that this could be the next UPI,” Vaishnav said.
Startup leaders like Varun Khaitan, co-founder of Urban Company; MapmyIndia chief executive Rohan Verma, and Zetwerk co-founder Srinath Ramakrishnan, as well as top executives from global companies such as Meta and Google, attended the event.
Addressing the gathering, Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajiv Chandrashekhar said that countries across the world have realized the entrepreneurial power of India.

Chandrashekhar said, “The world has also now realized the entrepreneurial power of India and many countries have shown interest for collaboration with our domestic startups and unicorns.”
He even coined a slogan –
‘Saare Jahaan Se Achha, Digital India Hamara’ For Digital India.
