Mumbai: food delivery platform Swiggy ‘Plans to expand’ its new membership programswiggy one‘ in 500 cities in the next two weeks. The new membership program went live on 19 November in four cities including Lucknow, Pune, Trivandrum and Vijayawada.

Swiggy One offers unlimited free delivery from restaurants and its grocery delivery service Instamart. Membership can be availed for Rs 299 for first 3 months and Rs 899 for 12 months.

The Bengaluru-based company said additional discounts and benefits will be rolled out on Swiggy’s pick up and drop off service offerings including Genie and Meat stores, among others, in the coming months.

“With a mission to provide unparalleled convenience to consumers, we have launched and evolved our offerings across food delivery, express grocery and more. The recently launched Swiggy One program brings all these convenience offerings into a single subscription plan. Which provides immense financial savings/benefits for regular Swiggy users,” said Anuj RathiSVP Revenue & Growth at Swiggy said in a statement.

Offering discounts has been a major customer acquisition route for both Zomato and Swiggy.
