should you buy
Despite its name, the fund operated a very diversified portfolio of large-cap stocks until a few years back. It now operates a very focused portfolio within the large-cap universe, striving to outperform the category through focused, high conviction bets. Even for its compact positioning, the fund takes sizable positions in the top few bets. It prefers to focus on around 3-4 broad topics and identify the best opportunities within these sections. Its performance over the years has been inconsistent amid changes in approach. Its current fund manager has seen marginal improvement in the return profile but needs to prove its performance capabilities over the long term.
