The private sector on Tuesday said it has started the process of integration with the central board direct tax To collect Direct Taxes on its own behalf, after approval received from the Reserve Bank. “reserve Bank of India Karur Vysya Bank has been authorized to collect direct taxes on behalf of the Central Board of Direct Taxes. After the approval received, the Bank has initiated the integration process with CBDT“, the Tamil Nadu-based bank said in a statement.

Once the integration process is complete, bank customers can remit direct tax through any branch or through net banking or mobile banking services (Delight Mobile application).

“It has been a long standing requirement of our customers to be able to pay their direct taxes through our bank. We are glad that we will be in a position to provide this service to our customers”, the MD of the bank and CEO, B Ramesh Babu said.
