After reaching the age of 60 years, the farmers covered under this scheme will get a minimum guaranteed pension of Rs. 3000 per month. If a farmer dies, his/her wife/husband will be entitled to receive 50% of the pension as family pension. Only the spouse is eligible for family pension.
- A person will be eligible to receive a monthly pension of Rs. 3000 on maturity of the plan. Pensioners can meet their financial needs with the help of pension amount.
- Till they reach the age of 60 years, candidates in the age group of 18 to 40 years will have to make a monthly contribution ranging from Rs. 55 to Rs. 200.
- Applicant can submit claim for pension amount after attaining 60 years of age. A fixed pension amount is deposited in the pension account of the individual every month.
How to register for PM Kisan Pension
According to the official website, these are the steps to register for PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana.
Step 1: The eligible SMFs willing to join the scheme will visit the nearest Common Service Center (CSC).
Step 2: Following are the prerequisites for the enrollment process:
Base Card: Savings Bank Account Number with IFSC Code (Bank Passbook or Cheque Leave/Book or Copy of Bank Statement as proof of Bank Account).
Step 3: The initial contribution amount in cash will be given to the Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE).
Step 4: The VLE will key-in the Aadhaar number, beneficiary name and date of birth as printed on the Aadhaar card for authentication.
Step 5: The VLE will complete the online registration by filling in the details like bank account details, mobile number, email address, spouse (if any) and nominee details.
Step 6: The system will automatically calculate the monthly contribution payable as per the age of the beneficiary.
Step 7: The beneficiary will pay the first subscription amount in cash to the VLE.
Step 8: Enrollment cum Auto Debit Mandate Form will be printed and further signed by the beneficiary. VLE will scan it and upload it in the system.
Step 9: A unique Kisan Pension Account Number (KPAN) will be generated and Kisan Card will be printed.
who is not eligible PM Kisan Pension
Members falling in the below categories are not eligible
- SMFs covered under any other statutory social security schemes like National Pension Scheme (NPS), Employees State Insurance Corporation Scheme, Employees Fund Organization Scheme etc.
- Farmers who have opted for Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana and National Pension Scheme for Traders and Self Employed Persons administered by the Ministry of Labor and Employment.
- In addition, the following categories of beneficiaries of higher economic status will not be eligible for benefits under the scheme:
- all institutional land holders
- past and present holders of constitutional posts
- Former and present Ministers/Ministers of State and former/present members of Lok Sabha/Rajya Sabha/State Legislative Assemblies/State Legislative Councils, former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations, former and present Presidents of District Panchayats.
- All serving regular employees (except multi-tasking staff/category) of Central/State Government Ministries/Offices/Departments and their field units, Central or State PSUs and affiliated offices/autonomous institutions under the Government as well as local bodies OR Retired Officers and Employees IV/Group D Employees).
- All persons paying income tax in the previous assessment year. (f) Professionals such as doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants, and architects registered with professional bodies and practiced by profession.
