Your NPS Account balance depends on two elements. The first is the voluntary annual contribution that you make to your NPS account, and the second is the income from investing 40% of the maturity amount in the annuity.

How to check balance through NSDL website
Step 1: Visit the NSDL portal.
Step 2: To log in, use your PRAN as a user ID and password for your account.
Step 3: Enter the captcha code to proceed.
Step 4: Click on the “Holding Statement” option under the “Transaction Details” section.
The screen will display information about your total balance.
How to Check Balance Through NPS Mobile App Website
Subscriber can download NPS BY PROTEIN app to view the latest account information available on CRA website. After downloading, the subscriber has to enter the PRAN (Permanent Retirement Account Number) and the PIN received with the PRAN Welcome Kit.
The total NPS holding value as on date can be viewed after successful login. It also shows the subscriber’s holdings in their Tier I and Tier II accounts. The details of the last five transactions are also displayed. Subscriber has access to profile information such as registered email address and mobile number. The application allows for the modification of these specifics.
How to check NPS account balance using UMANG App
NPS services are provided through the UMANG platform, which was developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the National e-Governance Division.
Step 1: Download and open the UMANG app on your phone, then look for NPS services.
Step 2: After selecting the option “NPS” tap on your relevant CRA.
Step 3: After selecting the option “Current Holding” enter your Permanent Retirement Allotment Number (PRAN) and Password on the following screen.
Step 4: To access your account balance details, finally tap on “Login”.
Using the PRAN and Password, the customer can view the latest account information. Subscribers have access to a variety of capabilities, including the ability to browse account details, change plan preferences, and make donations to other customers’ accounts.
How to check NPS balance through SMS
Initiate a missed call on 9212993399 using your NPS-registered mobile number. Your registered phone number will receive an SMS with your account balance information.
