A small-town girl with Aspiring Dreams of Success

Ms. Ritu Goyal belongs from a small town named Hansi in Hisar District of Haryana. She has always been a bright and meritorious student and was also the first in town to bag the degree of Company Secretary. She has also been a scholarship holder awarded by the prestigious Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).

Early days of Ritu’s Career

Ms. Goyal started her career as an Assistant Manager (Company Secretary) of one of the fastest-growing North Indian Real Estate Companies in India listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange. Within a short span of 6 years, through her sheer dedication and hard work, she rose to the position of Head-Corporate Legal and Corporate Governance Officer, wherein she was in charge of compliance management, finance, restructuring, contract management, and IPR of the entire group.

The challenge then was to deliver my best and live up to the expectations of my Company,” asserts Ritu. “Besides I think that trying to carve a niche as a career woman in a Patriarchal set-up and in a profession like Law that has been for ages believed to be “male-dominated” is quite an uphill task so kudos to all women who have been struggling for the same.”

Pink & Blue- Ritu’s way of giving back to the society

Emerging from a humble background, Ritu has always believed in giving back to society, which was the sole pillar of foundation of “Pink & Blue – Symbiotic Living”, a Noble initiative for creating awareness about Anti Sexual Harassment Laws for Women at Workplace. Till date, she has provided training to more than 10,000 people and has raised awareness about their rights and responsibilities against Sexual Harassment and she has trained more than 250 Professionals who are well equipped to impart this education further to thousands of people. The aim is to inculcate harassment-free workplace and fear less society where all can work in harmony with each other irrespective of their gender.

Ritu is also associated with various Non-Profit Organisations working for the Upliftment of poor and needy people, women’s education and hygiene, and a member of various clubs engaged in entertainment and knowledge sharing activities at large.
