This tax-saving fund takes a flexi-cap approach but, like many of its peers, leans slightly towards large-caps. However, it prefers to maintain a good presence of mid-caps as compared to small-caps in the rest of the portfolio. The fund manager operates a very compact portfolio with not more than 30 high conviction stakes. Portfolio formation is highly index agnostic even in sector positioning. The fund manager prefers high quality, strong cash flow generating companies with a long growth runway. The fund doesn’t have a long track record, but in a little over five years, it has exhibited sharp outperformance as well as occasional underperformance. Its aggressive stance lends itself to greater volatility than peers in its category.
