1. Minors can invest in the stock market but the Demat account, Trading account and Bank account have to be operated by the guardian.
2. The guardian must be the father or in his absence the mother. In the absence of either the father or the mother, the guardian can be appointed by the court.
3. Minors cannot buy stock. Instead, the parent can either transfer the existing shares Buy stocks in their demat account or transfer them to the minor’s account.
4. Minors can sell securities which they have received through their trading account Investment, heritageCorporate action, gift, transfer between family members or government orders.
5. Minors cannot be joint holders in any demat account.
