Amazon Academy, which launched in January, has got off to a slow start. Although unaffected by its hyperactive VC-backed rivals in ed-tech, it has been adding offerings to test-prep and gradually foraying into the K-12 segment. A school-focused project, a Kindle version and a rental initiative are in the works. But the Big Tech giant isn’t in the field to test ed-tech unicorns.
Amazon is slow. There is no dust blowing on the horizon.
