This ELSS offering maintains a large-cap inclination like many of its peers, while maintaining a large presence in mid-caps. The fund manager emphasizes on bottom-up stock selection with a top-down thematic overlay to identify the best opportunities. The portfolio is well diversified with healthy exposure to its top bets. The fund manager is comfortable taking high active positions in individual bets. However, the fund has been underperforming in recent years, unable to perform consistently for long periods of time. Nevertheless, good downside protection capability has ensured a healthy risk-return profile. It needs to perform more consistently to be among the top picks in its category.
