Ipope, A fintech provide startup payment infrastructure for small businesses in Tier-2 and 3 cities and rural areas, has announced the appointment of Shabarish Suresh as its general counsel.

Suresh has an experience of around 10 years in law firms including AZB & Partners and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas. He brings an in-depth understanding of the legal, compliance, regulatory, transactional and structural aspects of multiple areas, including: bankinginformation technologyManufacturing, e-commerce, real estate, retail, healthcare, insurance and education.

He has actively represented some of India’s largest fintech, e-commerce, retail entities and startups, and executed various large and complex mergers and acquisitions including private equity, venture capital investments, joint venture collaborations and outsourcing requirements . He has been advising various startups and investors – both private equity and venture capital – on their investments in India.

The round saw participation from Madhu R and Prabhu R – Founders of M2P Fintech, Kumar S – CEO of Fego, Archana Priyadarshini – Partner at PointOne Capital, Shailesh Ramakrishnan – Partner at Rocketship VC, and Kuberan M – YC Angel Investor.
