The consortium is called ‘Indian Bureau of Space Technology and Application Design’ (I-STAC.DB) and will develop next generation applications.
“In today’s world, collaboration is the mantra. It is not possible for a single company to do everything required for the end customer of space applications. Thus this consortium naturally attracts all such key stakeholders,” said Professor Satya Chakraborty , Head, I-STAC.DB, and Faculty, Department of Aerospace Engineering, IIT Madras said in a statement.
The MoU was recently signed for this path-breaking initiative. I-STAC.DB is inviting companies from the space and associated domains to join this effort.
The founding members of I-STAC.DB include Drone Vayu Pvt. Ltd., Agnikul universe Pvt. Ltd., Galaxy Eye Space Solutions Pvt Ltd, Mindgrove Technologies Pvt Ltd and Resilio Labs LLP. The consortium is run by the IIT Madras Promoter Technologies Foundation, a Section 8 company funded by the Department of Science and Technology, under its interdisciplinary National Mission on Cyber Physical Systems and hosted by IIT Madras,
