How to file a complaint in India Post
Step 1: Go to the home page of India Post website
Step 2: Click on Help & Support > Help & Support > Customer Complaints
Step 3: Click on ‘Submit a complaint’
Step 4: Select the Category (Financial Services, Insurance, Mail Services & Others) from the dropdown
Step 5: Enter the required details and click on submit.
Make sure to note down the complaint number generated after form submission.
How to track complaint lodged with India Post
Step 1: Go to the home page of India Post website
Step 2: Click on Tools & Support > Help & Support > Customer Complaints > Track Complaint Status
Step 3: Enter your complaint number and captcha code and click on the search option to display the status of your complaint
If the complainants fail to get the internal resolution, the DPG (https://dpg.gov.in) may be contacted for redressal of the grievance.
Initial level for filing complaint
If the complaint is not resolved, the complainant can approach the Chief Postmaster General of the circle concerned. If the complainant is dissatisfied with the action taken, he may approach the following officers in the Directorate of Posts, Dak Bhawan, New Delhi-110001 as per the nature of the complaint, for example –
1) Related complaints savings Bank or Savings Certificate or claims relating thereto.
