A minimum of Rs 6,000 per year will be provided to each farmer covered under this PM Kisan Yojana, a program of the Central Government. Families who have cultivable land in their names are eligible to get benefits under the program for all landholder farmers.
Here is how a farmer can register to get benefits under PM Kisan Yojana
Step 1: Visit pmkisan.gov.in
Step 2: Click on the option of Farmers Corner
Step 3: Click on ‘New Farmer Registration’ option
Step 4: Select Rural Farmer Registration or Urban Farmer Registration
Step 5: Enter Aadhaar Number, Mobile Number, Select State and Click on ‘Get OTP’.
Step 6: Fill OTP and proceed for registration
Step 7: Enter more details like state, district, bank details and personal details. Enter your details as per Aadhaar.
Step 8: Click on ‘Submit for Aadhaar Authentication’
Step 9: Once your Aadhaar authentication is successful, enter your land details, upload your supporting documents and click on Save

1. What are the benefits of the scheme?
Families of all landholding farmers will get financial benefit of Rs 6000 per family per year under PM-KISAN scheme, payable in three equal installments of Rs 2000 every four months.
2. What if the beneficiary makes a wrong declaration for the implementation of the scheme?
In case of wrong declaration, the beneficiary shall be liable for recovery of the transferred financial benefit and other penal action as per law.
3. Whether any income tax paying farmer or his wife/husband is eligible to get benefits under this scheme?
No. If a family member is an income tax payer in the last assessment year, the family is not eligible for benefits under the scheme.
4. What is the definition of ‘family’ under the scheme?
The family of a landholder farmer is defined as “a family consisting of husband, wife and minor children having cultivable land as per the land records of the respective State/UT”. The existing land ownership system for identification of beneficiaries will be used for calculation of benefits.
