UAN or a unique account number allotted to a subscriber by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) Even when moving from one job to another, this number remains with the person. Here’s how one can track their UAN while changing jobs.

Easiest way to find UAN
The easiest way to find out the UAN is to first check the pay slip issued by the employer. The payslip generally captures the UAN of the individual. Another option is to check with the HR department of the employer first as they keep a record of the UAN details.

UAN Portal
EPFO has a portal where subscribers can view, download account details EPF Passbook and carry out transactions such as withdrawal or transfer of funds PF money from one employer to another. UAN can be traced by providing some basic details on the UAN portal. The UAN portal can be accessed at https://unifiedportalmem.epfindia.gov.in/.

The individual has to click on the “Know Your UAN Status” tab. Aadhaar It is necessary to provide the person’s number, PAN, date of birth, mobile number and email id. After doing the captcha authentication, click on “Get Authorization PIN” to get the authorization pin on the mobile number.

Once the authorization PIN is received on the mobile number, it can be entered to validate the request. By doing this, the UAN number as well as the UAN status is sent to the person’s mobile number.

• It is mandatory to link Aadhaar details with UAN.
• An individual can bring 10 provident fund accounts under one UAN under different employers in a period of time.
