NS Government has approved the grant of Non-productivity Linked Bonuses (ad hoc bonus) Equivalent to 30 days emoluments for 2020-21 for Central Government employees in Group ‘C’ and all non-gazetted employees of Group ‘B’ who are not covered under any Productivity Linked Bonus Scheme.

As per the office memorandum issued by the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of FinanceAs on Monday, only those employees who were in service as on March 31, 2021 and have rendered at least six months of continuous service during the year 2020-21, will be eligible for payment of ad-hoc bonus.

“The quantum of ad-hoc bonus will be worked out on the basis of average emoluments/maximum calculated, whichever is lower,” it said.

Proportionate pay will be admissible to eligible employees for the period of continuous service from six months to one completed year during the year, the eligibility period being taken with reference to the number of months of service (rounded off to the nearest number of months).

“Payment of ad-hoc bonus under these orders shall also be admissible to the eligible employees” Central Paramilitary Forces and Armed Forces,” adding that the orders shall be deemed to be extended to those employees of the Union Territory Administration who follow the emoluments pattern of the Central Government and are not covered under any other bonus or ex-gratia scheme.

“Informal workers who have worked in offices after a 6-day week, for at least 240 days in each year for 3 years or more (206 days in each year for 3 years or more, 5 day of the week), be eligible for this non-PLB payment.”
