Srinivas leading a delegation of senior officials from the International Financial Services Center (IFSC) Gift City (Gujarat International Finance Tec-City), is currently in the US for meetings and roundtable discussions with US and global investors, banking and educational institutions for business opportunities.

The delegation is visiting New York and Washington.

“We had a meeting with the fund managers. They are all keen to invest in India,” Srinivas told PTI in an exclusive interview on Wednesday. He said that the group is happy to learn about the various facilities available in GIFT apart from regulatory convenience and overall financial ecosystem.

“They were excited about the possibilities of collaboration. India is a favorite destination,” he said.

He said, “Most corporate boards discuss India today. It is an opportunity for India and we also need to reach out and we need to connect and we need to create a platform where we can leverage global capital in the domestic economy. make the flow easier.”

During the ongoing visit, the delegation made a presentation on the business opportunities available to US-based financial services institutions at GIFT IFSC, and also interacted with leaders from the US-based fund industry, financial services industries and banking institutions.
