Aluva based private lender in association with Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) launched online tax payment service on Wednesday.

Online/e-pay tax facility allows taxpayers to pay through any online payment mode such as debit/credit card, is iNet banking, cash, NEFT/RTGS etc., the bank said in a statement.

Harsh Dugar, Country Head (Wholesale Banking), Federal Bank said: “These are among the many digital Initiatives being invested by the Bank to delight our customers with ease of transactions and bring agility to our business. We see this as a reinforcement of our commitment to being digitally and natively human at the forefront,” he said.

The government had approved collection of direct taxes in the last financial year but it came into force on July 1 this year. Federal Bank becomes one of the pioneers to be registered under the TIN 2.0 platform Income tax department With this partnership, the statement said.
