According to a press release issued by the bank, individuals can now pay their taxes instantly using any of their available payment methods including Debit/Credit Card, UPI, Net Banking, Cash, NEFT/RTGS etc. Non-resident Indians, domestic customers and any tax-paying citizen in India can submit a tax challan and pay the same at any bank location.
“The e-filing website now offers e-pay tax service in pre-login and post-login mode through two newly authorized banks namely Kotak Mahindra Bank and Federal Bank. Both these banks are currently accepting payment for taxes both over the counter and net banking modes. tax payment Also available to the taxpayers as per the extant procedure through NSDL website (Protean),” as per Income tax Department.
There is no need for taxpayers to register or verify for their PAN/TAN, which eliminates any tax payment delay.
Kotak Mahindra Bank
Individuals and corporations can pay their direct taxes through e-pay tax tab of the portal using Kotak net banking or by visiting any branch. It will make tax payment simple, quick and convenient for its customers.

Step-1” http://www.tin-nsdl.com > Services > e-payment . Go to and Login
Step-2: Select the relevant challan i.e. ITNS 280, ITNS 281, ITNS 282, ITNS 283, ITNS 284 or Form 26QB Demand payment (only for TDS on sale of property).
Step-3: Enter PAN/TAN (as applicable) and other mandatory challan details like head of account under which payment is made, address of taxpayer and bank through which payment is to be made etc.
Step-4: When you submit your data, a confirmation box will appear. If PAN/TAN ITD is valid as per PAN/TAN master, then full name of the taxpayer will be presented on the confirmation screen.
Step-5: After confirmation of the entered data; The same will be sent to the taxpayer on the net-banking site of the bank.
Step-6: Log in to the net-banking site with User ID/ Password and enter the payment details on the bank site. If you have selected the Debit Card option, provide the required card information.
Step-7: After a successful payment, a challan counterfoil with CIN, payment information and the name of the bank from where the e-payment was made will be displayed. This counterfoil serves as a proof of payment.
