Helped by better performance from the auto and industrial sectors, storage battery maker Exide Industries posted strong revenue growth of 57% in the first quarter of 2022-23. The performance of the automobile battery segment was driven by replacement demand and improved two-wheeler and four-wheeler battery sales, while growth in the industrial battery segment was supported by growth in i-ups, solar and power.
