This fund realized its mandate from mid- and small-cap to mid-cap a few years back. As a result, the small-cap presence was reduced initially, but has been increased again while maintaining the mid-cap focus. It is guided by evolving market conditions. Compared to the past, the fund also takes a good position in its top bets, allowing for meaningful exposure to high-confidence ideas. The fund manager also lays emphasis on ensuring high liquidity in the portfolio. This fund has been pretty consistent in delivering alpha over the years. After seeing a brief decline in 2018, it has been in the top quartile in its category in recent years. Its track record under the leadership of its experienced fund manager provides comfort over the long term.
