Among major cities, Delhi added the most wealthy Indians, followed by Mumbai and Bangalore, the report showed.
Cancer guys lead the pack
The richest Indians with Cancer sign have seen their fortunes increase by 92 percent in the past year. The 10th annual edition of the IIFL Wealth-Hurun Report reveals that even the richest people of Cancer zodiac have created the most wealth over a period of five years.
The wealth of Gemini, which is included in the list of the rich, has increased by 77 percent. He was followed by the wealthiest Indians with Taurus (up 68 percent) as the star sign. The report said that Pisces (up 59 per cent), Sagittarius (up 58 per cent) and Scorpio (up 50 per cent) also had a good year.
Aries, Leo and Virgo, meanwhile, did not enjoy much luck, but still saw a 19-37 percent increase in wealth. Ali MA and Arvindkumar Poddar) were the best entrepreneurs, each making up 8.9 percent of the wealth of all the richest Indians in the IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2021.
The number of Delhi rich increased
At least 25 percent or 255 of the 1,007 rich Indians IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2021 Mumbai is from Mumbai, suggesting that the city remains a favorite destination for India’s biggest wealth creators. That said, a total of 39 new rich listers in the report came from Delhi, which was higher than the 38 additions in Mumbai. There are now 167 rich Indians in Delhi.
Azim Premji’s Bangalore, which came third in terms of number of rich Indians, added 18 new names. Murli Divi’s Hyderabad added 5 and the total number of rich people became 56. Chennai surpassed Ahmedabad to reach the fifth position out of 43 rich Indians. The city added six new names to last year’s rich list as compared to Ahmedabad’s five.
