The Reserve (RBI) calendar for September 2022 lists 7 bank holidays by state, excluding the second Saturday and Sunday. Therefore, 11 holidays in September are possible in different states; Kerala has the maximum number of holidays this month because of the festival of Onam.

Here is the list of state wise bank holidays in September 2022:

• September 1 (Thursday) – Banks will remain closed in Goa on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
• September 6 (Tuesday) – Banks will remain closed on the occasion of Karma Puja in Jharkhand.
• September 7 (Wednesday) – Banks will remain closed in Kerala on the occasion of Onam.
• September 8 (Thursday) – Banks will remain closed in Kerala on the occasion of Thiruvonam.
• 9 September- (Friday)- Banks will remain closed on the occasion of Indrajatra in Sikkim.
• September 10- (Saturday)- Banks will remain closed in Kerala on the occasion of Sri Naravane Guru Jayanti.
• September 21 – Banks will remain closed on the occasion of Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi Day in Kerala.
• September 26 – Banks will remain closed in Manipur and Rajasthan on the occasion of Navratri Sthapana/ Mera Chauren Hauba of Lanningthou Sanmahi.
