Suppose you are buying 8 grams 22 KT gold chain, on the invoice your jeweler will mention: Item name and description: Gold chain; Quantity: 1; Weight (grams): 8 grams; Accuracy: 22KT; current gold rate and making charge; Hallmarking fee: Rs 45 (increased from Rs 35 before March 4, 2022); the total amount payable by the buyer; If the gold chain has stones, the jeweler has to separately mention the value and weight of the stones in the invoice.
