Mr. Ashok Kumar Bhaiya- The CEO story
Mr. Ashok Kumar Bhaiya started his journey at the age of 20 when he worked as a trainee for his father’s family business of raw jute distributorship. In 1995, he started the business of imports and exports for multiple merchandise. In the 21st century when the millennium was changing the promising material of ACP hold his attention and he decided to try his luck at it. He traveled to various parts of the US, European and Asian Nations to learn about the technology, production nitty-gritty, and testing methods used in ACPs.
In 2002, Mr. Ashok decided to bring ACP to India and started a full-fledged backward integrated, state-of-the-art ACP manufacturing facility with advanced equipment and futuristic technology. Three such facilities were founded in 2006, 2015, and 2021, respectively. He further introduced the Aluminium Coil coating line in India! Since then, it has been an incredible journey for Aludecor- Challenging yet Satisfactory!
Being a leader Mr. Ashok empowers each of his employees by entrusting them with greater responsibility and tries to groom them to emerge as a leader.
Challenges
Talking about challenges the initial days were tough. The Aluminium Coil Coating Technology was not known in India, then, as a few companies sold ACPs by importing them from China. Hence the knowledge of in-house production was not known. Besides, people weren’t aware, trained, or skilled to go ahead with the production nitty-gritty of Aluminium coil coating. But the company has overcome it by arranging rigorous training sessions for the new manufacturing technology abiding by the Global standards in India, which was quite a challenge for sure.
Pandemic was challenging for the company. Keeping the employee’s morale high, handling the cash flow, and streamlining operations were major tasks for Mr. Ashok. But the whole situation has been a one-of-a-kind experience. It gave us the strength that if people want, they can survive any damn situation.
Mr. Ashok has always emphasized the blending of innovation and technology. The company has always tried to address its pain points and provided solutions exceeding its expectations.
Constraints that are to overcome
The biggest constraint in the Indian ACP Industry is the usage of low-quality and substandard raw materials. These malpractices are killing the product and its functionality. And awareness about the ACP as a building material owing to its various benefits concerning weather ability, health, safety, etc. is necessary.
Mr. Ashok says, “Revolution means manufacturing an Indian product that is recognized, accepted, and adopted/adapted worldwide.” Aludecor is curating innovation that is acknowledged worldwide. Initially, it was only the plain-vanilla colors and designs were in demand. Now, people love to experiment with various finishes, textures, and decorative designs. The company has been in high focus on producing products that abide by safe and environment-friendly products, such as FR (fire-retardant), anti-microbial, anti-insect, and more.
