Annual Information Statement (AIS) is a detailed statement that lists all your financial transactions for a given financial year(s), and includes the information required by the Income Tax Act of 1961. AIS It includes information on interest, dividends, stock trades, mutual fund activities, international remittance details, etc. The taxpayer will be able to get the AIS data in the formats of PDF, JSON and CSV.

The AIS presents both the reported value and the adjusted value, or value, after taking into account taxpayer comments.

What is AIS Consolidated Response File

ais consolidated response file (ACF) allows taxpayers to access all their AIS feedback, apart from feedback, ‘correct information’ in a single PDF for easy to understand relevant information. After submitting the AIS inputs, you can get the AIS Consolidated Feedback File (PDF).

As per the AIS Handbook released by the Income Tax Department, “Taxpayers will be able to see AIS information and submit the following type of response to the information:

• Information is correct

• The information is not entirely accurate

• Other PAN/Year related information

• The information is duplicate / contains other information

• Information is denied

• Optimized Feedback”

How to submit feedback on information?

On each information detail, response options will appear. You can choose only one of the available options for your response.

You can submit feedback on active information displayed under TDS/TCS information, SFT information or other information by following the steps below:

Step 1: Click on the “Optional” button mentioned in the Feedback column for relevant information.

Step 2: Select the relevant response option and enter the response details.

Step 3: Click on “Submit” to submit the feedback.

What happens after I submit feedback?

When the response to the AIS information is submitted successfully, the response with the information will be displayed and the updated value of the information will be shown along with the reported value.

Additionally, the Acknowledgment Receipt tab will be modified, and it will be possible to download it. Also, the feedback submission will be confirmed through email and SMS.

The Activity History tab will be updated and you will be able to receive an acknowledgment receipt once you have successfully submitted your comments on the AIS information. Confirmation will also be issued through email and SMS for submission of feedback.
