state Bank of India (State Bank Of India) multi-currency foreign travel card is a prepaid Mudra card that can be pre-loaded with money in up to seven currencies and can be used at ATMs and merchant points abroad. The card can be loaded with US Dollars, British Pounds, Euros, Singapore Dollars, Australian Dollars, Canadian Dollars and UAE Dirhams. Furthermore, with this travel card, users can lock in exchange rates on their currencies each time the card is reloaded.

Existing as well as new customers of SBI can avail these cards by visiting the nearest branch of SBI or logging on to the SBI website.

What are the services available?

Cardholders can avail these services by using the Yatra Card:

  • Online card management with secure visibility of balance and transaction details
  • Services like ATM locator can also be availed using this card
  • In case of insufficient funds in the currency to pay for the transaction, the balance is automatically deducted from the other currencies available on the card.
  • Clients can avoid exchange rate fluctuations and variations while abroad
  • In case the card is lost or stolen, the service team offers emergency cash replacement up to the available balance on the card

What are the limits?

  • At least US$200 can be loaded onto the card
  • Maximum amount that can be withdrawn from ATM or spent at Merchant Points US$10,000
  • Only 1 active account can be maintained by the customer at a time
  • Some ATM operators and merchants may charge withdrawal fees or set their own limits as per their own rules and regulations
