August 9, 2022 (Tuesday)- Muharram (Ashura)- Tripura, Gujarat, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Hyderabad, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, Lucknow, New Delhi, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.
Banks will also remain closed in some states this week for Raksha Bandhan on August 11 and 12. Along with this, banks across the country will remain closed for Independence Day on second Saturday, Sunday and 15 August.
